Arthur's notes! Batfam age reverse. Reader is Ra's al Ghul's daughter.

After Jason is brought back to life through the Lazarus.. His older brother takes a dangerous journey, to bring him home.

They had been on their own for 3 months traveling swiftly but stealthily. Damian started a fire, he sits down allowing himself to breathe more efficiently.

Jason was sitting with his knees up against his chest. He still barely spoke or even changed from a blank expression. Damian feared what his grandfather would do to Jason or force him to do..

Ra's used Jason to manipulate Damian into doing whatever the assassin ordered. It'd been a year now since Damian left his family.

Jason tried to ignore the menacing laugh by Joker. All he could think about was seconds before the bomb exploded. He hated sleeping..

As Jason laid on the mat and Damian saw his eyes finally closed. Damian closed his own and allowed his tears to sweep through his eyelids. His heart was broken for his brothers suffering.

He thinks of his torture from Joker. He couldn't save him and now he was scared he'd never be the little boy he remembered again. He still loved him though.

Damian was exhausted through and through drained beyond Instant recovery. Just a old memory of her rocking him to sleep as she gently sang a lullaby. His father playing baseball with him on a very rare but memorable occasion.

He bit his hand to muffle his sobs as his memory's of his family, became so vivid in his mind. His heart was breaking as he missed them. How much he must of hurt them he feared. Will they forgive him?

Damian opens his eyes as he heard movement. Jason got up from his mat and walked to Damian. He didn't say anything but laid beside him. Jason hugged Damian. The former assassin let his sobs be heard as he was given a glimmer of hope Jason would be ok.

Damian hugged him protectively. Jason allowed himself to cry with Damian as he to missed their family. He felt guilty he couldn't remember them before.

Damian's feet became swollen and redden from walking for so long. He carried Jason so his own feet would not be in pain. His body was quite thin as he had made sure Jason wouldn't be hungry nor thirsty. His throat had become dry and lips cracked.

They had to remain undetected by Ra's. As risking being seen by his assassins he had throughout the world was very possible if they weren't careful.

Gotham was cold compared to where they had come from. Jason was sleeping as a comfortable cloak is laid on him. Damian headed for the boom-tube to the Bat-cave but stops sensing a, presence.

"Damian" he hears

He turns to see his father. His breath hitched as he feared for shame to be upon him for leaving them. Bruce's heart becomes heavy to his chest, his eyes shake as his eyes sees his sons together. Jason wakes to hear a familiar voice. He lifts his head to see him. His mentor, his caregiver, his dad.

"H-how?.. How?.." Bruce was, shaking

"Ra's.." he simply answered

"the Lazarus?..." Bruce asked

Damian only nodded. Bruce could see the worry in Damian's eyes as he approached closer. Damian tried to keep from crying as his fathers hand touched the side of his face.

"you did good son" Bruce proudly said

He kept his hand steady as he touched Jason's face. The little boy didn't move away as he knew it was his dad.

"Dad" Jason said with eyes swelling on the verge of tears

Bruce took him from Damian's weak arms. He gives Damian his cloak and placed his own cape on Jason.

Bruce hugged Jason as his grief was crumbling away into a tearful relief. The dark knight was nearly crying. He could barely breathe knowing that he was holding him and that Damian was standing near him.

"forgive me baby" he begged his little boy as a tear fell down his face.

....

While in the Bat-cave Jason and Damian sat on their own stretchers. Bruce takes his phone to call her. He swallows hardly trying to keep from crying as his throat shakes. His boys are home. They're really here.

"Bruce, is everything OK?"

"you..." he closed his eyes tightly making his lips tremble

She knew the tone and the hesitation.. She needed to get to him. Now.

"where are you?"

"cave" he quickly answered

Y/N rushes to the Bat-cave. Her heart was beating rapidly fearing for her the state of her family.

Bruce observed them both.. Damian had a IV in his arm as Jason laid on the stretcher with a monitor on him. Jason was more hydrated and less thin. It didn't take Bruce long to realize Damian had tortured himself to keep his brother alive.

Alfred was in tears as he gently patted young Jason's back and kissed the boys head. Jason reaches to hug him.

"it is very nice to have both of you home"

The two part as they both were in tears. Alfred stepped to Damian. He placed his hand on his shoulder, motioning him to lay down. He looks seeing his shoes were quite worn and slightly damp from blood. He reaches to take them off but Damian quickly moved them away

"tt I'm fine" he insisted

"you are not fine master Damian now let me tend to you" Alfred ordered

Damian sighed moving his feet to be more accessible to Alfred. The kind older man took off his grandson's shoes as he winces in pain. Bruce gently cringed to himself seeing the swelling, the blisters and the redness on his feet.

Alfred tended to his feet bandaging the wounds. He then placed a, open palm on his forehead. Damian smiled to Alfred further convinced in his heart... Alfred is his grandfather not Ra's..

Y/N arrived.. Her body instantly becomes shaken and a scream leaves her lips.. Her knees nearly buckle beneath her. She covered her face as tears run down her face. It couldn't be, but here they were. Her little boys, her babies.. Bruce held her hand letting her squeeze it with all her strength, as she shakes her head.

Damian lips tremble with his heart sinking to relief. He nearly gasps seeing his mother. Jason recognized the kind eyes that he knew loved him.

"momma" he mumbled..

"oh my baby's.. My sweet baby's.." she began to cry as she reaches her arms to hug Jason and held him. "I'm so sorry baby" she sobs apologizing.

Jason hugged her tightly and buried his face in her neck. She began to sob gently rocking him as she holds him. All the sleepless nights she cried in her sleep, usually along with Bruce. Were now unfolding again. She reaches her hand to hold Damian's hand.

He held her hand closing his eyes to force his tears away. She looks to see he seemed quite malnourished and his feet were blistered and were bleeding as his bandaging was red

"my sweet Damian, what has he done to you?"

"I'm ok now Ummi" he promised her.

She wasn't convinced.... She squeezed his hand shacking her head.

"I'm so sorry boys" she wholeheartedly apologized knowing it was her father who had done this.

"momma" Jay said again, as he cried he had missed her so terribly.

"it's OK baby. I'm here. I'm here baby"

Bruce could see Damian was hanging onto thin ice. He leans over to his wife and son taking Jason into his arms. She walks to Damian holding his face in her hands. He clenched his face trying to keep from breaking.

"it's, ok son. You don't have to force yourself to stay strong, not with your mother" she encourages kissing his forehead

She hugs Damian just as the teenager begins to cry again. All his carried emotions were flooding out through his eyes and shaky throat... He was home.

Just then gasps from his siblings were heard as they returned from patrol. Y/N smiled still in tears leaving her son only so he can be comforted by his siblings.

Damian watched as they each ran to Jason whom was sitting in Bruce's lap. They each hugged him one by one.. Then they hugged Damian. It was no surprise to Damian his youngest brother was the most emotional. He sees a small smile on Jason's face reassuring him he's going to be OK.

yesterday i spent an hour in the shower talking to myself about how I think a reverse robins au would go, mainly in the case of Tim taking Jasons place as the revived second robin. I took the Joker Junior thing and decided "Hm.. yes, this is how Tim dies."

I have many thoughts about it.

Basically, Tim's 15, has been Robin for almost two years, when his dad dies. Like in canon, Tim makes a very strategic plan which could lead to the murderers death, but Batman finds out and Tim doesn't enact it. Bruce is still mad about it, and Tim storms out the manor to go visit his dad's grave. While on the way, he gets kidnapped by the Joker and he's tortured for three weeks because Bruce thinks he's just being an angry teen giving the silent treatment. By the time he realises something is wrong and goes to find Tim, the boy is already dead. After shooting the Joker, he shot himself, and Harley Quinn is no where to be found.

Then, six months after being buried, he wakes up in his grave, right besides his father. He digs out, is found by Talia, and taken to be trained. With Jason, Ra's didn't want to heal him and Talia did it without permission, but in this au, Talia is the one who doesn't want to heal him. She thinks he's too similar to Bruce, and that she won't be able to trick him. Ra's thinks he can. He's wrong, of course.

Instead of reclaiming the name Red Hood, Tim decides to stay as Junior. After all, he was extremely mentally unstable before his death, so i think he'd still be suffering fron the torture and think Batman = bad, Joker = good. After a little while, he manages to recover a bit, but he's still mad at Bruce.

Jason forgave Bruce for not saving him, but was angry he didn't get justice.

Tim forgave Bruce for not getting him justice, but he's angry he didn't get saved.

Tim comes back to Gotham and is a lot more sneaky with his crimes. Red Hood came in guns a-blazing, straight away starting to clean Gotham up, but Junior is much more behind the scenes. If the criminals decided to do good, they'd live. It's not his fault the house they broke in to had rabid dogs squatting in it, or that their hard drives were suddenly copied and shared to everyone they knew.

Instead of attacking the new Robin, he kidnaps her instead. Sends Batman cryptic messages like "better find her soon or she'll end up like the last bird" or "you should keep a better eye on your things, Batsy". Bruce is tearing Gotham apart searching for Stephanie, thinking she's being tortured by a Joker wannabe, when actually she's just being forced to sit through slideshows about the dangers of being a child soldier and told annoying knock-knock jokes over burgers.

Reverse Robin AU where Duke was the first to be adopted by Bruce and Dick was the last. Explanation + alt versions under readmore:

Bruce Wayne aka Batman

Emotionally distanced father figure to all of his kids.

Due to his first few children being more or less child soldiers, he sometimes has a hard time recognizing them for themselves and not what they were molded into.

Handles grief by going on patrol more.

Duke Thomas aka Lark

Primary weapon: Modified escrima sticks

His parents were Jokerized when he was young in one of the Joker's senseless attacks. Due to this, he was placed into foster care.

He runs away a lot in order to get revenge on the Joker and kill him. Bruce steps in when he gets dangerously close to the Joker's hideout one day.

Bruce ends up fostering, not soon after adopting Duke, in an attempt to show him revenge is not the way.

Duke ends up training under Batman to more or less channel his frustrations and to learn. He never took on a name but he was dubbed Batman's shadow or Shadow.

He becomes the first leader of the Teen Titans when he is an older teenager.

After growing up and having a less than stellar relationship with Bruce, Duke leaves for Bludhaven to become his own hero. He takes on the mantle of Lark (named after specifically western meadowlark).

Him and Bruce primarily fight about Bruce's inability to be a father and relying on his adopted children to more or less raise each other, causing a lot of in fighting and eventual death.

He struggles with maintaining the hero life, effecting him in his relationships and teams as wears on him.

In addition, Duke rarely will interact with Bruce one on one since Damian died, each time a sibling or friend died he grows more distant.

His powders develop soon after and he struggles with them but learns to handle them quickly.

He becomes a beloved hero and is commonly seen helping the Justice League.

He is a very caring and gentle older brother however he also supports his siblings doing dangerous things since it "builds character" and "we're vigilantes, who cares about laws anyways."

Does not quite agree with Bruce's mission and feels he is too lenient on criminals

Damian Wayne aka Magpie

Primary weapon: Katana sword

Damian was raised in the League of Assassins since his birth. He was given to Bruce in order for him to further his training.

Bruce refused to let Damian go back to the League and takes him permanently. He comes a little under a year since Bruce has taken Duke into his care.

Damian ends up taking up the name Shadow as well while under Batman, training and working alongside Duke.

Struggles finding himself when he only sees himself in Batman's shadow.

After Cassandra is adopted next, he leaves Batman and returns to the League of Assassins in an attempt to understand his place among both family lineages. He tries to reform the League but fails, leading his mother to assume control.

He ends up dying due to Talia, the first of Bruce's children but he is resurrected by the Lazarus Pits. It is unclear who resurrected him however his current goal to is to find out who and why.

He returns to Gotham and takes on the name Magpie (specifically the Eurasian Magpie). He operates generally alone.

Cassandra Cain aka Shadow

Primary weapon: Fists

Cassandra is initially discovered by Minhkhoa Khan (Ghost Maker) after she escapes from David Cain in an attempt to find herself and own path.

Khoa offered to train her and she accepted. However gifted Cass was and how well she fought alongside Khoa, their morals were too drastically different. Cass refused to kill under Khoa despite understanding why he does it.

Khoa ends up realizing Cass is a lost cause for himself and rather than letting such talent go to waste, he takes her to Bruce since their morals align and he can take up such a child.

Cass is then under the care of Bruce however she is primarily raised by Duke and Damian as Bruce still struggles with balancing all aspects of his life.

She is the third adopted child of Bruce.

Cass never officially takes on any name however most people call her Shadow like previous Batman sidekicks.

She is close with Stephanie when she comes into the family both times.

She fights with Barbra a lot, having a complicated relationship with her.

Stephanie Brown aka Black Mask

Primary weapon: Guns

Stephanie is never adopted by Bruce.

She comes to a part of the bat family through Cass. Cass tries and stops her as she is currently going out in Gotham as Spoiler to stop her father Clue Master.

Cass helps her stop her father and is more or less taken in by Bruce.

She ends up training under him and takes on the mantle of Shadow as Damian is gone and Duke has recently become Lark.

Due to simple bad luck, she ends up causing a massive gang war in Crime Alley. All attempts to stop it go horrific, leading her to eventual death by Black Mask.

Steph is somehow brought back to life a few months later (unclear as to how, however it is suspected to have some connection with The Black)

She realizes that Batman has done nothing for change to how he raises children or sidekicks as Gotham is even worse than before her death. She ends up killing Black Mask as revenge, leaving his severed head to be found by Batman personally.

She ends up taking over Black Mask's name and is primarily protecting Crime Alley.

Steph ends up meeting Bruce's newest kid not soon after, Tim, the newest Shadow. However Tim is able to convince Black Mask to reform so Batman doesn't strike down on her. Tim discovers that Black Mask is in fact Stephanie and is able to convince her to not only change her ways but return to the family. She however does not leave the name behind.

Tim Drake

Primary weapon: Bo staff

His parents weren't around much due to travels however that didn't stop Tim from finding his own path. He primarily travels to inner Gotham in attempt to learn more about it's protectors. It's more so a passing interest that leads him to finding out their identities.

Tim notices that Batman has begun to act erratic in Gotham soon after he figures out his identity. He discovers that his second oldest son is missing (currently resurrected by not yet returned) and that his newest sidekick, the third Shadow has died.

Tim attempts to help Batman however in his search to get Batman better without him knowing, he is caught up in a situation with the rouge Captain Boomerang. He flees back to him home but Captain Boomerang follows and ends up killing Tim's parents to get to him.

Batman is too late to the scene to help Tim's parents but saves Tim himself.

He adopts Tim but doesn't reveal his identity. Bruce continues to act more erratic as Batman and Tim reveals he knows he's Batman and needs a Shadow or else Gotham will fall to chaos.

He becomes the next Shadow and soon after discovers Steph is alive as Black Mask. He helps her return to the family.

Damian also returns to Gotham finally, him and Tim however have a poor relationship and tend to have violent fights due to Bruce's differing treatment between them.

Tim ends up taking on the name of Red Hawk when Jason is adopted after him.

Tim primarily operates in Gotham however he is not overly close to any of family members other than Stephanie and Cass.

He ends up spending time with the League with Damian for some time after he becomes Red Hawk in order to find Bruce who is lost in the time stream. He has a strained relationship with the League.

Jason Todd aka Shrike

Primary weapon: Knives

Adopted by Bruce after he attempts to steal the Batmobile tires.

Jason ends up thriving under the care of Bruce and getting to live the childhood he was deprived of. However Bruce is struggling since Jason is the first of his kids he doesn't have help with raising. All of his other children have left the mansion and have become their own heros.

Jason does know that Bruce is Batman after being told by his siblings but has no desire to follow in his footsteps. Steph and Tim, backed by Damian, encourage him to become Shadow to better bond with Bruce but also to help stop Bruce's deteriorating mental state. He begrudgingly accepts.

Soon after he discovers his birth mom is alive. Jason tries to get his siblings to help him with his personal mission but they either ignore his requests or state that he is Shadow, he will be fine.

He leaves without any backup and ends up falling in a trap set by the Joker. He is tortured and then later murdered by an bomb set by the Joker. Bruce is too late in tracking him down and cannot save him.

Jason is later revived by Superboy Prime reality altering punch. He is soon found the League of Assassins and is placed into the Lazarus Pit. He is kept at Nanda Parbat and trained there.

Ra's al Ghul tries to use the possibility of Jason being alive to lure Damian and/or Tim back to the League to be the next heir once Jason is fairly stable.

Side note, Tim and Damian do in fact meet Jason in the League but he has not been put into the pits yet. They are currently there is search of Bruce who is lost in the time stream.

Jason escapes the League and takes on the name of Shrike when he returns to Gotham. Named specifically after the Masked Shrike. The name is chosen because the birds are unassuming but violent and stab/impale things. Jason is primarily proficient in knives.

He sets out to hunt down and either harm or kill each of his older siblings, his anger is directed mostly at them. They were the ones who forced him into the role of Shadow which killed him, they were the ones who didn't help him.

He is captured by Cass, Tim, and Damian and brought back to the cave in order to identify him as he knows their league names specifically which means they are compromised. They discover Shrike is their dead brother.

Jason escapes and they are currently playing a game of cat and mouse as Jason both hates and fears his siblings but refuses to get their help.

Currently is making a mess of Gotham while his siblings try to corral him.

Dick Grayson aka Robin

Primary weapon: Escrima sticks

Most recent of Bruce's adoption.

Was originally the missing son of two circus performers, he was found nearly two years later under the control of the Court of Owls.

He was being trained to be the next Talon was making rapid progression with his training. He was only discovered as the bat family was taking down the last of the Court when he tried to kill them.

Dick was tasked specifically with taking down rogue Talons however, he will take down any threat to himself as well meaning that Bat family in this case.

He wasn't fully turned and the bats were able to get him under control. They learn soon he was the missing circus child.

Bruce takes him Dick since he cannot function in a normal environment. He struggles with the family is more or less terrified of them.

He is very strict and obeys every thing he is told. Damian ends up primarily taking over raising him and getting him out of his conditioning from the Court of Owls since he has a similar up bringing from when he was in the League.

They make progress by allowing him to train among each other. He takes on the name Robin after his parents nickname for him, forgoing the Shadow mantle.

He becomes Damian's sidekick rather than Bruce and Dick ends up mostly living with Damian as a result.

Dick struggles with his emotions and reactions, tending to either be autopilot or an angry child. Damian struggles controlling him but over time he learns to help Dick express emotions in better ways.

Barbara Gordon aka Code Breaker

Barbara is no adopted by Bruce.

Her spinal injury is caused by the Court of Owls (unclear if it was Dick specifically) who harmed her as a message to Commissioner Gordon and Batman to leave the Court alone or else those they love will suffer.

She befriends Cassandra and Dick as a family friend first as Bruce offers to help with all medical costs for Barbara.

She quickly learns that Bruce is Batman and ends up forcing herself into the family to help protect them in any way she can. It's her way of returning the favor from Bruce.

She takes on the name Code Breaker and primarily uses her computer skills to get information.

Damian grieves as he remembers his parents deaths but finds comfort in his family

Damian was dressed in his winter attire as it was snowing outside. He could not seem to shake away the unpredictable grief that shook him.

He walks down the stairs steps one by one. He curses himself for being detected, as he hears his son running to him from the steps from above him.

He was frustrated not because he did not wish to see him, but he did not wish to cause him worry. Dick had a unique skill that he shared with his adopted mother and with Alfred, of always knowing when Damian was struggling. Wether it be his tone that he tried to keep steady or his eyes that he tried to keep still. The saddened dark knight didn't know how they could see through him.

"hey Dami!"

"Grayson" he greeted

"where are you going?! Do you want to have a snowball fight with me outside?!" Dick pleads with slur from having lost his tooth just the other day

"perhaps another time I'm going for a small walk" Damian said smiling softly to his little boy "I'll be back shortly"

"OK" Dick said watching him walk to the door and leave... Something was definitely bothering him.

Grayson walked to find his mom. He sees his parents bedroom door shut. He gently knocked.

"come in" she answered

Dick opens the door to see his mom brushing her hair. Y/N smiled to her son.

"hey kiddo, how are you?" she kindly asked

"hey Mom. I'm fine.."

"just fine what's bothering you?"

"why... Why is Dami upset?"

Her heart falls to see the overwhelming amount of worry on her son's shoulders "ohh sweetheart, do you remember him telling you about his parents?" Dick nodded "well, when you miss the people you lost, sometimes you need time to let yourself grieve for a little while.. He'll be OK"

"ohh I wish I could make him not feel sad" he sadly said

She holds his face in her hands "oh sweetie you do. You make Damian very happy" she hugs him kissing his head "all of you do"

He hugged her tightly and looks up to her with a wide smile "can I make him cookies?! Cookies make me feel better!" he excitedly asked

She chuckled warmed by her son's sweet nature "of course"

Y/N tied a bow on her apron. Alfred was currently making dinner while Y/N and Dick made cookies.

"smells good in here, what are you guys doing?" Jason asked walking into the room

"hey sweetie!" his mother greeted to which her son smiled

"we're making cookies! You want to help!" Dick asked his big brother

"sure" he shrugged

"Damian go for a walk?" he mumbled to his mother

She nodded to Jason as he cut the cookie with the cookie cutter. Whenever Damian struggled with anything... Damian would draw for a while and if that didn't work he would leave for a walk outside to try to clear his mind.

He watches to see Dick is preoccupied helping Alfred stir the soup.. He didn't want to ask or even say anything.... He looks at Y/N stirring more cookie batter.

"is it something I did?" Jason asked worried something from his past arguments with Damian was causing him turmoil.

"oh Jason he's not upset with you or anyone.. Damian is just struggling right now. Like we all do sometimes"

Jason nodded trying to convince himself what she said was true. Y/N didn't want to overwhlem her son with affection, so instead of a hug. She gave him a gentle rub on his back. Jason tilted his head on her arm.

"I know you're worried about him but he's going to be OK"

"I know"

"AWW IT SMELLS AMAZING IN HERE!!" Steph announced walking in as she breathes in the sweet smell

"come make cookies with us!" Dick said happily

"you can help however you'd like to" Y/N said wide smiled as her daughter hugged her arm

"sounds like fun to me and you simply cannot have fun without the queen of fun" Steph said now tickling the side of Grayson's neck as the little boy laughs

As Y/N rolled out the dough she hears her phone chime from a text message.

"don't mind checking. It's me in the family group chat telling everyone to come help make cookies"

"I guess I'm making more dough" Y/N chuckled

"YAYYY!!" Dick said

Little Cass held onto Duke as he carried her on his back into the kitchen. Y/N was mixing the batter as she smiled seeing the kind pair of smiles. Duke gently put down his little sister as they were greeted.

"hey guys glad you came!" she greeted

"are you kidding? Steph would have drug me here by collar had I not come"

"oh I definitely would!" Stephanie agreed

"I can help you stir Mom" Cass offered

"I'd love your help" she smiled to her daughter

Tim walked in overwhlemed by the amount of chaos, but it wouldn't be home if there wasn't a little bit of craziness going on.

As the day went on into evening. Damian steps to the manor knowing dinner would be ready in just a few minutes. Though deep down he was missing his family.

The dark knight was curious hearing joyous laughter in the kitchen of all places. He stepped in seeing the ingredients for cookies scattered, everywhere. There were dozens and dozens of assorted cookies being made.

They each saw their adopted father and became quiet. Damian softly smiled to his loved ones

"is there enough for me?" he asked

Laughter was among them each as there was far too many cookies but the family were enjoying themselves too much. Which would involve a trip to Gotham's homeless shelter to donate.

Y/N takes off her apron and walks to give her husband a sweet kiss.

Damian wraps his arms around her waist as she lifts her own around his neck. He gave her a tender but soft kiss as unfortunately eyes were among them.

As everyone was sitting in the dining room enjoying dinner. Damian was holding his wife's hand.. He looks at her realizing yet again how much he loves her and his family.... Finally they were done with dinner. The sun was setting.

"your excused I'll shall be down momentarily"

All the children excluding Duke quickly got up

"you crazy night patrollers have fun" Duke said and yawns "I'm winding down for the night"

"your're just jealous because patrolling in the dark makes us more scary" Dick said

"oh it certainly makes you more frightening that's for sure" Duke chuckled

As the couple were alone Damian kisses her with the passion he had carved to since he had kissed her prior.

"I'm glad you're doing better" she smiled holding his face in her hands

He takes her hand to kiss her palm "even in my moments of grief.. You, and our family give me the solace I yearn for"

Much later that night Batman gently rubbed Robin's head as the young child was asleep in his bed. Damian laid the blanket on him and leaves his son's room.

He knew Steph would fall asleep the instant she laid on her bed. Duke would be awake in just a few hours. Cass was a light sleeper but as soon as she was comfortable, she would be asleep. Tim however... Damian steps to his room to hear typing on a laptop....

"lights out Drake!" Damian told Tim through the door

"5 more minutes!" he pleads

"don't push me. You'll thank me for getting a good nights rest and not falling face first into your bowl of cereal"

"that only happened like three times!"

"once is one too many, bed Drake or I'm putting on a, pass code that I know you wouldn't be able to crack"

"FINE"

Jason usually slept well unless he was upset.. Or reading. Damian steps to his room. He slowly pushed the door open.

He sees Jason sleeping while sitting with his knees up against his chest, on the chair with his book in hand.

Damian takes the book putting it on his bookshelf. He lifts the little boy into his arms.

Jason started to awaken, by the contact but kept his eyes closed. He didn't panic as he recognized the feeling of the arms that held him with care. He feels safe....

Damian moved the covers and laid Jason on the bed. He lays the covers on him but not too close to his neck as Jason was claustrophobic.

Damian kissed his son's forehead. He was surprised as his little arms wrap around his neck.
